I have a set of plans for a Corben Baby Ace Junior.
The plans call out for Samara wood. Not even sure where to find this anymore.
What would be an acceptable substitute?

Never heard of Samara wood, and a Google search doesn't make me any wiser.
The FAA lists acceptable wood substitutes in AC43-13B.

Samara are helicopter seeds, so Samara wood would be from one of the various trees that produce helicopter seeds. Maple, ash, and elm are three of the trees that fall into the group that do this.

Thanks for the responses. I have reached out to Ace, but have not heard back yet.
