Has anyone tried using the solar powered refridgerator/ freezer boxes at Oshkosh? I am considering something between 10-17 liters that uses about 45 watts.

I haven't tried a straight solar powered unit, but a few weeks ago I picked up a 12V unit and added a second solar panel to the roof of my pop-up camper to help keep up with it. It sounds like a good plan, but I'll let you in August whether it worked.

I haven’t tried the solar-powered refrigerator/freezer boxes at Oshkosh myself, but I did get a solar fridge for camping last summer. I opted for a 15-liter one that uses around 45 watts, and it worked like a charm. It kept our drinks cold and food fresh throughout the trip.

I powered it with solar panels Dublin (https://solarsmart.ie/solar-panels-dublin/), and they were fantastic. Super reliable and easy to set up. If you’re considering getting one for Oshkosh, I’d say go for it. It’s convenient, eco-friendly, and a great way to ensure you’ve got cold drinks and fresh food on hand.
