looking for 6061T6 2"-1/2 OD 0.083" wall tube
I'm looking for 6061T6 2"-1/2 OD 0.083" wall tube and can't find it. (0.065" or 0.125" wall
only). I looked at aircraftspruce, wicks and onlinemetals. Have you some addresses ?
Thanks in advance for help.

I don't know. But might try looking for aluminum pipe instead of tube.
Usually two thickness. Schedule 20 or 40 (or 80?)
Pipe is sold by inner diameter, more or less...
So 2" is 2.38" outside. https://www.onlinemetals.com/en/buy/aluminum-pipe

I found https://www.tubeservice.com/ (from a thread on homebuiltairplanes.com)
This reference is on their catalog.
If you have another one, I appreciate your sharing it if you want.
Thanks for your answers.

Thanks for sharing but this tube is for wing spars, 0.083" wall is for strength, (0.035" and 0.065" wall is too thin, 0.125" is
too heavy).2"-1/2 OD is for leading edge radius.

The Avid is 2.5" x.065", I think.
Depending on your design, then another sleeve doubler at strut might work. Say 3 feet long slitted to clamp tight and rivet.

I'm interested in as strength as possible so 0.083" with wood doubler is my choice.

I'm just catching up. I had learned 6061 is for marine use like Grumman canoes and boats, 7075 is for 707's and DC-8's and the new stuff is 7475 before GLARE. I had an ALCOA catalog in 1981 but that was just to examine catalog numbers that were neither sequential nor mathematical. "Neither a plumber nor an electrician be" in making exhaust pipes (pipe bender or conduit bender) and carefully choose the shoes and mandrels for the hydraulic tube bender to maintain constant section. Bear with my lack of agility. I think of strength for close-in missiles as 4130. How many g's? I lost you at 2. Then I found the BELL Cobra was limited to 120 degrees of roll angle. Pshew! I was way past comfort at 45 degrees.
