Looks kinda like an old Pitcairn autogyro?

No, tail is all wrong as is the cockpit for the Pitcairn. This looks like a conventional airplane of some sort (minus the wings).
Parasol winged single-seater. Baby Ace?

Or a biplane, can't tell if there's a lower wing attachment behind the sawhorse.
Sitting outside for how long? I'd venture a guess... I don't know what it once was, but now it looks suspiciously like ex-airplane scrap.
Measure twice, cut once...
scratch head, shrug, shim to fit.
Flying an RV-12. I am building a Fisher Celebrity, slowly.
Looks like the wheels are 8 feet apart...
Wheels? What wheels? There is no gear or wheels in the pic. There is a tail wheel though.
It does have wide wheels.
Wife is visiting her parents in Indiana, and sent me another pic.
Im new to the EAA forums. I think I'm posting pics properly, but it's fighting me.
I had a "Preview" button on original post, but now I don't see one.
I'll hit the "Post Quick Reply" button and hopefully the pic gets added.
I think RonW has a pretty good guess. I think it's an Ace D, from the tail (some of the other models have a round tail).
