Since there is a "you build it" turboprop out there, here's a short video of a turboprop chorus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY9hETjtNT8

Nothing personal David, but turbines are just noise to me, round engines are where it's at.
Right Engine, Wrong Airframe! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTLB2-yEcOI If I hit the lottery I would buy one of these! Yahoo!
It would really be boring if we all enjoyed the same thing. I like all airplane noise with my favorite being the Merlin:

David
I'll forgive you David since you love V-12's too.
The best for me was the first turboprop I met taking my Aunt Dort to Willow Run in the 50's, a Capitol Airways Viscount. The whistle and scream still lives on in muffled APUs on ramped jet liners. It had the same oval windows as in your video.
I am not able to be free with sounds as the RIAA ounce found me among a list of Napster downloaders. I also still have Muse which some called ABC that Steve Allen thought was the best PC music synthesizer from an original score.
The background at Willow Run that day was 707's with the tubular noise suppressor taking off and landing. Shucks, I missed the unsuppressed JT3's and water injected JT4s!
The sound, best heard from outside the aircraft as it approaches, of a Beech King Air at high idle to operate the air conditioning or warm the cabin, power levers in Beta range tickling into Reverse range as the pilot controls taxi speed without dragging the brakes.
What a sound. What a sound. The synchronous growl of two big Hartzell props overpowering the whine emitting from the Pratt and Whitney exhaust.
Thanks for reviving a memory, that made me smile.

Piston popping recips make me hot whereas the din of turbine noise leaves me cold...

Umm, well, what makes you hot or cold may be a bit of overreach here, but I suppose in the end, De gustibus non est disputandum
