Self-launching (electric) motorglider, configuration and performance question

Cross section of fuselage is enlarged by spar and position of pilot, passenger, side by side
    semi-reclined seated.

What is your opinion about this configuration as cross section of fuselage is a question of
    performance ?
Note: fuselage is 1.7" taller than Europa XS-Liberty XL fuselage (which XS version is a
motorglider). Other classical motorglider configuration is with cabin forward spar (as phoenix
    motorglider).

Albeit a counterintuitive task, playing with polars (airspeed/rate of descent and lift/drag coefficient)
gives you a glimpse of a glider performance.
