VFR Flight plan filing in remote areas

How to file a VFR flight plan in remote areas, especially if you want to overfly a special place that is not near a fix/airport/VOR/etc.? Does the flight plan system accept something like distance/azimuth from a VOR, for example?

I believe it’s possible. The format, according to the AIM, is Navaid identifier, radial, distance like this: ABC270015.
