Thanks for sharing the video. The use of the tandem gear and outriggers is interesting. The layout is actually not too dissimilar to the Dyke Delta. Both designs are actually considered to be tailless deltas, and not a flying wing. Still very cool.

Ah, ok. So what is the difference between a tailless delta and a flying wing? (I'm not specifically into such things, 23 years of flying a BC12-D and now a Minimax!)

It is exactly what it sounds like...
A flying wing is a tailless fixed wing aircraft that has no definite fuselage, with its crew, payload, fuel, and equipment house inside the main wing structure. A flying wing may have pods, nacelles, blisters, etc or even vertical stabilizers. There are some blended body designs that fit this definition too.

And no particular planform is required. Can be a plank, delta, boomerang, whatever. A tailless delta is shaped like a.... delta.

Keep in mind that practically *anything* can be flown as an RC model. Snoopy's doghouse, 3D models of Superman, witches on broomsticks, etc.

    Waiting for a man-carrying version.....
