    6-place Bearhawk 5

I see on AvWeb that Bearhawk has test flown their new 6-place Bearhawk 5. Color me intrigued!

Lengthening the cabin all of FOURTEEN INCHES and stuffing in another row of seats is nothing to be proud of.

Maybe, maybe not. I want to see pics of the interior and some real performance specs before passing judgement.

I happen to be a Bearhawk builder, 4 place A model. The Bearhawk 5 addresses several issues with both the A and B models. The Bearhawk 5 opens the options for 6 cylinders engines that are not options for the earlier 4 place Bearhawk. A 4 cylinder engine is not an option for the Bearhawk 5. You might think of the model 5 as something like the difference between a C180 and C185.

I think your post is a bit dismissive of a very nice opting in the larger Bearhawk models.
