The EAA and AOPA websites are good starting places to find what is available in your area. It’s what’s best for you. For me first I looked at options that were convenient to where I lived and worked. I was looking for Sport Pilot training so the options were limited. I would have preferred to train with an individual but had no luck finding someone locally. There are two flight schools at my local airport, the first one I visited deals mostly with career pilot training and was not very interested in my needs. The other school is more private pilot oriented and they were very friendly even though they were pushing for me to go for the Private instead of Sport Pilot. I did choose them as they were able to work with my schedule and limited budget. I’m not able to fly as often as I need to and will probably be a high time student before it’s all done but I’m having a great time whenever I get to fly.

    Good luck and have fun.

My vote (other than the associated expenses) would be Hawaii. LOL

A mile of road will take you a mile, but a mile of runway will take you anywhere.
