Vertex Standard VXA-300 PILOT III Radio

Just ordered one of these today from Sporty's along with the PTT switch for headset use. Anyone have any experience with this radio, good or bad, that they would like to comment on? I am planning on using this as the primary radio in a radioless aircraft.

I bouht this radio for my backup. It is a great radio, but is a little complicated with all of the feature. When you only use it once in a while it is hard to remember how all the functions work.

Good radio, works really well with a tuned (standing wave meter) external antenna, like EZ Rider says read the manual and there's a tricky couple of things when storing memory channels other than that works good, the Vor is useable as well if the antenna is oriented accordingly.
