    Evans VP-1 Volksplane 50th Anniversary

Other than putting the original VP-1 on display, is there anything special going on this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Volksplane?

On a related note, I was surprised to learn that the late W. S. "Bud" Evans is not a member of the EAA Homebuilders Hall of Fame. Given the popularity of the VPs over 50 years and around the world, that seems like a no-brainer!

    Cheers,

How is it that Bud Evans is not in the EAA hall of fame?

    How?

It was on display last year and was looking a little rough around the edges. Guess it spends its time just sitting in dry storage. Personally I think the VP is a significant enough design to warrant being on display in the museum.
