    Can This Be True?

On another site, Aviation News reports that Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says they will reopen Meigs Field next year, like it was before or better. Is that too good to be true?. It might happen, the land and buildings are still there, they just need to repave the runway. Its a pretty airport and there's probably lots of demand for it.

I believe that the web site you refer to is the aeronautical equivalent of "The Onion" website ( https://www.theonion.com/). They also report that Airventure 2019 has been cancelled.

    I think that they gotcha.

    Best of luck,

There is a park there now. It will never be an airport again.

Lots of April 1 headlines seem to be slipping out early.

There was a recent news item regarding what kind of people re-post fake news thinking it's real.

The Meigs story has shown up on most of the aviation sites I look at.....

I see they blame it on Floats and his ilk.

Well, don't leave us hanging man. Either give a synopsis or post a link.

Basically, people over 65 are supposedly seven times more likely to forward false news information. I hesitate to say more because the original article also ascribed the behavior to particular political beliefs as well as being over 65. I'll PM you a link....

I got eight months more to go. I can hardly wait... :-)

I like the story on the Bonanza personal jet and that ADSB mandate was cancelled.

Ron, I think older people are just more likely to fall for different completely false information than younger ones. I occasionally have to gently explain to my adult kids and their friends that some of the things they are told by various online sources, and accept as fact, are simply not true at all.
