Wishing Everyone a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Itís been a trying and challenging year from lots of viewpoints for our country. Hereís hoping that you can spend cherished time with loved ones this Thanksgiving and truly reflect on whatís important. My Dad and I have the 182 packed and loaded with toys for our annual toys for tots donation. Pending a break in the weather this weekend, we will be delivering them. I encourage all EAAers to get involved in your communities this Holiday Season. There are so many people who desperately need our help. So many of our communities have been absolutely devastated by extreme poverty, global warming induced disasters, hunger, homelessness and a total lack of quality and affordable health care. As Pilots and EAAers itís never been more important to find a cause thatís near and dear to your heart and put everything you can into making our world a better place. ďBe your brotherís keeper and do onto others as you would want others to do onto youĒ Words to live by from my Grandpa who served in the USAAF 8th Air Force ETO in WWII. I apply it to my life everyday. Maybe you guys can draw some inspiration from it as well So Have a Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy your families and take some time to really reflect on just how fortunate we are as Pilots and Aircraft Owners and what we can do to Pay it Forward!!

Its great to read that someone has the right stuff inside them. It seems so much is harsh, cruel, and just plain evil these days, and kind of overwhelms the good folks.

Mark, your entire post so bang on and well said.

If you can't afford a doctor, go to an airport. You'll get a free X-Ray and a breast exam. If you mention Al Qaeda, you'll get a free colonoscopy.

....Or consider moving to Canada, Australia, Sweeden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, Israel, China, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam, and a hundred other progressive, caring, thoughtful western world countries on the planet with universal healthcare that truly care about the well being of its citizens.

Bill and Floatsflyer, Thank you guys for reading and commenting. Your kind words mean a lot. If we had more people in the world like you both, we would have a much easier time with everything! I’ll have the 182 at Oshkosh this year starting on Thursday. You guys are more than welcome to come up for some serious 182 Amphib time. Happy to fly with ya!
