    Sadly P-51 Accident

    Sadly 2 fatalities from a P-51 down at Fredricksburg, on Sat, despite perfect weather, no cause know yet.

    Super sorry to hear this Bill. I think I’ve seen Pecos Bill at Oshkosh before but I’m not certain of it. My thoughts and prayers go out to Cowden’s Friends and Family. Hopefully they will find out exactly what happened and why so we can all learn from this tragedy.

    Have watched him fly many vets at Oshkosh every year for several years now. Even have video of him giving a WW2 vet in his 90's a ride. Tragic news. Heavy hearts. I know there's no official cause yet, but I would assume he lost the engine.

    Deepest sympathies and prayers to the families involved, Mr. Ward's, the WWII B-17 veteran passenger's, and to the aviation community in general. A tragedy.
