Early Years of Pan American Airways DVD Release

Nearly twenty years in the making- We're announcing the two Volume DVD set begins shipping this month (w/over 400 photos in total).
And, we came here to EAA -first- to herald the availability.

    The basics:
Mr. Hubert L. Brundage was one of the earliest employees of Pan American. c. 1927-1938

He always carried a camera with him and took these -many never before seen- photos on flights through the Islands, into Central and South America.

The actual photo album has over 900 photos of the start of Commercial Aviation.

Follow this link to an informative web page, to include samples & ordering:

******* Some of the back story & further illumination ******

° All the photos were scanned & digitally converted-- (it took a very long time.)

° Mr. Brundage eventually rose to the position of Airport Development (c. 1940, and only left as WWII broke out.)

His photos provide an intimate and candid view, from the point of a privileged observer & participant.
Entirely fascinating and provocative content, in so many ways.
*YES, plenty of aircraft are depicted; exterior, interior, in the shop, and in flight (like, crossing the Andes Mountain range!)

° Mr. Von Trippe, founder of PanAm, employed the then most famous man in the World, Col. Charles Lindbergh, to pioneer flight routes, fly the first Air Mail deliveries, and promote the Airline in general.
Some photos depict celebratory events at first landings, ribbon cutting, Key to the City Awards, and a brass band playing in the background; while Mr. and Mrs. Lindbergh acted as PanAm emissaries.

Sharing these images with likeminded aviation connoisseurs was of key importance for the Brundage family - until now, the album had only been seen by family & friends for these nearly 80 years.

° Since the images are digitized (1200 dpi, @ actual dimension) there is also a path to obtaining prints of any image found in the DVD's.
[The examples provided are downsized to save space, but reflect how they look on the DVD's- with any info Hubert wrote as subtitle, or on the border of the photos.]

Feel free to contact me here - and, I did ask permission prior to leaving this announcement.
There are links on the aforementioned webpage also.
Any questions, drop me a line.

    Thanks!
    Paul.
