At least one Class 3 medical is required within ten years of getting a Basic Med physical.

Yes, after the initial Class 3, say goodbye to it and go Basic Med unless planning to fly high, heavy, or big.

Sexy Tailwind.... FAST aircraft... not much money
You'll have the others eating your dust.... 160 cruise easy...
Red Hamilton cruises over 225 and wipes out Rv's and all their fast money

I'm building it's cousin... Buttercup...Slow flight... But also FAST.

Steve Wittman's planes are pretty easy to build

I've kind of liked the fisherflying products you may want to look at
    https://fisherflying.com/horizon1/
    https://fisherflying.com/horizon2/
    or
    https://fisherflying.com/dakota-hawk/

I am strongly thinking if I do another plane after my current project it will be one of these

My first experimental aircraft build was a Fisher Flying Products Super Koala. Just 364 days lapsed from kit crate arrival to airport delivery. Built between June 1992 and June 1993.
