    8-hours from bottle to throttle

CBS news is reporting that the FAA Administrator, Babbitt, was stopped and cited for DWI when found driving on the wrong side of the road. He cooperated with arresting officer(s) and was released on is own recognizance per the report.

Hope he remembers that he has to report that arrest within (I think it is ) 30 days or be in trouble with the FAA since he is a pilot.

I recall when a past FAA administrator using an FAA airplane damaged a commercial aircraft by taxiing into its wing, and had the book thrown at him by is own FAA - they fined him $50 !!!!

Nice to be on the inside. It will be interesting to see how this DWI incident turns out.

in the Old Navy (no, not the clothing store) it was "if you can't fly drunk, you can't fly"

gee, i wonder why the accident rate has dropped in the last thirty years?
