    Travel insurance

    I am planning to spend the winter in southern California getting my glider rating.
    My travel insurance company wants $200 more for the three months.
    Any body have a suggestion for me, another company.
    This seems like a bit of a rip when I look at the accident statistics for gliders.

    Liayers and insurance companies.

    Most insurance policies specifically exclude any claims arising out of being the pilot or crewmember of an aircraft. Sometimes the wording excludes any non scheduled (i.e. airline) flight.
