    Tables?

Other forums I visit that use vBulletin have a table-building function. Since I occasionally post statistics-based data, I find that really useful.

    Example:

However, it does not seem to be available on the EAA Forum pages. Can we get it enabled?

It's a vB addin http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=107985 rather than just a switch you can turn on.

    Just trying this out...

    This is a table row
    This is another table row

    Yep, it works

If you don't mind doing your own code, or save an Excel file as HTML and do some create find/replace with your text editor:

Still trying to figure out borders...

    If you use the advanced
editor, you can create a table and
    add borders at will.
I don't know if it's a recently added feature or not.

It doesn't seem to want to let you span a cell across columns or rows, though.
    Measure twice, cut once...
scratch head, shrug, shim to fit.

I wrote a VisualBasic program that converts Excel to vBulletin, but the vBulletin code didn't work here.

Dale, what did you use to create the table? I don't see an obvious button in the Advanced editor. Did you write it in HTML vs. the vBulletin code? I tried HTML a while back, but it didn't seem to work, either.

EDIT: Ping! I was in Source Mode, not WYSIWYG mode. I see the options are there in the latter. I'll give it a shot.

    Thanks!

And if I can whine a little bit, can we get the maximum post size changed to 20,000 characters instead of 10,000? The vBulletin code needs about 50 characters for a single row/column, not including what's in the box. That adds up really quickly....

Glad we got the table resolved! Will ask about expanding max post size.
