I got a second email with the registration number. The first one had the link to the download.
    It was addressed from EducationDept@solidworks.com

This is great! I use SolidWorks at my job, but I'm far from expert. Now I can use it at home and improve my SW proficiency while making parts for the plane.

Is there a central folder where we can upload and share files amongst us EAA members? I'm really looking forward to seeing some of the designs this group comes up with!

From what I understand this is definitely on the cards, but might take a little time until the OSH16 dust settles.
In the meantime we can simply ZIP the files and post them on this forum. Hint: Don't post a whole airplane design - the file might be somewhat too big

    5. STUCK HERE: ran the installer but didn't receive a serial number to proceed with the install.

Any thoughts on why I haven't gotten a serial number? I'm registered with their DraftSight 2D freeware. Maybe they see me as an existing user. Thanks, Daisuke

I got my 12 digit serial number in a second email right away. Keep refreshing your email.

We're using GrabCAD for now. Checkout instructions on this post:

Any idea when I log in with my EAA.org account, that it sends me back to a screen to log in? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hope I'm not being too simplistic, but do you have cookies enabled?

Call Membership Services to make sure your Profile is setup as an EAA Member instead of a Guest.

I was able to run the installer, but never received an email with the serial number to validate the installation. I waited over a day after the first submission...after no response, I went through the process again using a different email address, still with no luck! Anyone with any ideas?

    Thanks much...

Allow popups, turned off the popup blockers and I am in!
