    The two OSH places that shouldn't be missed are the museum and the seaplane base, and if there's only time for one, make it the seaplane base. Its tranquility is so different from the hectic activity at the airport--it's a welcome change. The $3 that the shuttle charges is the best money you'll spend any day.

    I think Thursday is the "big" seaplane day. Water melon and corn roast, etc. Weather permitting that is the day of the seaplane flyover at Whitman field so you get to see all the takeoffs and landings.

    "Seaplane Tranquility Base" is true. You may miss the excitement of Whitman Field if you have not gotten your fill yet.

    Last year Icon was operating from a restaurant two or three miles south but I understand they will not be flying at AirVenture this year.
