Nay vote here,
Outside of application, powder offers little to no advantage over liquid paints, in fact as far as corrosion goes it can be worse. Can a mount crack and the powder hide it? Of course, and I have seen it first hand. You have to remember why industry is switching to powder, it is not for the durability of the final product, it's strictly an application cost savings. All of the corrosion control is in the pre treatment of the material, and the primer. If you did a proper mill scale removal, epoxy primer and an enamel topcoat, your mount would last longer than the engine bolted to it from a finish perspective.

P.S. I work in an industry that uses both liquid and powder paints in severe environments, so I am not biased, but merely swayed by the results of actual controlled testing.
