    XP-82 Twin Mustang

This morning I flew down to Statesboro Georgia and met up with some other pilots, then flew in formation with them down to Douglas Georgia to see Tom Reilly's XP-82 Twin Mustang project. It is pretty amazing how guys like Tom can take these old airplanes and combine parts from multiple scrapped planes and turn them back into some unbelievable restorations. He said he is about a year away from having the XP-82 flying. He has six guys working with him full time and two part time. I have not had a chance to download pictures from my camera yet but here is a link to Tom's website about the restoration and a link to a YouTube video that tells some of the history of the P-82.

    Mark,

Do you know the story behind those photos? "Honest, I left it shut-down on the ramp, parking brake engaged and all 4 wheels chocked."
