    Heavies Allies in Axis markings

    I share with you a collection of photos, some of them extremely rare, showing Allied bombers captured by Germans, Italians and Japanese. One question, does anyone know if during the Second World War a B-29 bomber was captured and tested? To see the photos, visit the link below:

    By the Russians. Until February 1945 we were not allied with them against the Japanese (Technically not until August 8, when the USSR declared war.) Until then, in the Pacific Theater, the USSR was neutral. US aircrew landing in the Soviet Union from actions against Japan were interned. This included 4 instances where B-29s landed or crashed in Soviet territory.
