Thread: Wing rack design needed for two wings

    Rob,
The nav light is something I made up after seeing a similar set up on a Stearman wing. I glued blocks to the bow and carved it inplace. The outer most piece is 1/4" ply with nut plates for the Grimes light to attach. Fun to make.

Do you have a link for the EAA design? I have a knack for wandering around websites for hours missing the blatantly obvious. My rack was built to fit in a trailer, so it is really wide. I added wheels to it after it came out of the trailer.

    Jim,
Not sure of the link but here's a jpg of the rack. I made a few changes; specificly made it 8' long and a little taller to match my wing rib profile. It sure works nice to be able to move the wings so easy.

I had to circle back to this topic since I have a new project and need to store five wings (a biplane with a three piece top wing). This is the "long lost" article by Rev. Bingelis.
