IAC Introduction to Aerobatic Judging School

We will be having an Introduction to Aerobatic Judging class in Nashville, TN 7-8 March. If you are interested in becoming a aerobatic judge, this is the class for you! If you are a new competitor, this class will teach you what the judges are looking for in "perfect" figures, and how figures are graded. Knowing what the judges are looking for will make you a better competitor!

Students will need an IAC Rule book, Free!, found here; https://www.iac.org/download-contest-rules, an Aresti Catalog, found here; http://www.arestisystem.com, about 18 dollars, US, and a $35 class fee.

John Tune airport, KJWN, is the best airport to fly in yourself, and Nashville, BNA, is the best for airline flights. We can pick you up, or rental cars are available at both airports. This is the only aerobatic judging class anywhere in our South Central area, so make sure you attend!

The Nashville aerobatic judges school will meet at John Tune airport, we have a conference room set up there. The closest hotels are listed below. The first two have a John Tune Airport rate, which is better than we can get elsewhere. We will have rides available if you fly in, or rental cars are available at John Tune Airport, 615-350-5000.

We will have a group dinner Friday and Saturday evenings, and we will have coffee and light refreshment in the mornings, as well as lunches brought to our conference room during the classes.

Chapter 119 Air Capital Eagles will be hosting a judges clinic near Wichita Kansas at the Newton City County airport (EWK) in Newton Kansas on March 14, 15. John Morrissey will be our instructor. There are a number of decent hotels in the area. Newton airport is a nice facility and we can hangar several airplanes. The meeting place will be in the "terminal" building.

At https://www.iac.org/judges-school-calendar I see Calgary, Alberta, CA. Do you ski? I hear the skiing at Banff is still pretty good. Ski Saturday, Judges Refresher Sunday?

I am starting to poke some Chapter Presidents in areas where there are no Judges Schools. I understand that we all juggle work, family, and sport.

    Best of luck,

    Wes
