    Recent EAA ADS-B Blog Post

Has anyone had time to read and digest the blog post regarding ADS-B and the experimental world contained in Mac's recent post? A number of comments appear in the VAF forum. Comments?

Mac's previous ADS-B blog proposing a "vfr" class ADS-B Out to reduce costs was one of the few blogs he has written where I whole heartedly agree with every word he wrote. This blog appears to go a step farther to demonstrate that even the "legal" installations aren't legal depending on the interpretation of the FAA's regulations. I currently have a "portable" ads-B in/out installation in one of my EAB planes. While it doesn't meet the 2020 rules, and "may" have a future TSO upgrade path; legal or not according to the FARs, I have been enjoying the bonus of having inflight weather and traffic for the last year.... and it didn't cost a fortune. I expect to enjoy having this additional information in the cockpit for the next several years while the FAA sorts a way through their self made regulatory maze.
