is it possible to use a more powerful Lipo with the control of ESC ?

I am flying a Trex-600 and I was wondering if I can use a stronger Lipo other than the 6s that I am running now but use an ESC that can control the flow not to toast everything. I might need to go with a better ESC that can handle higher loads but then I can use stronger Lipos which helps fly longer. I know I can use 2 6s Lipos too but I was wondering if what I am thinking of is doable? a website(www.hobbycool.com) is selling lipo battery! I bought it there.

You'll get better answers if you post your questions on an R/C forum like http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/index.php, which this is not... this is for full size (man carrying) airplanes.
