In this video we're trying out a new, somewhat homemade GoPro mount that we put together to try and reduce the vibration that happens when mounting a GoPro to the canopy of an RV Aircraft.

I would have put some rubber o-rings between the two pieces you screwed together. Don't screw them down tight but allow the 0-rings to soak up the vibration as an isolator. You might want to use a machine screw with a lock nut so it can be left a little loose.
