    that is cute.
what does the weight come in at.

i read from your site "minimalist soaring pod"

kevlar and carbon fiber sure can make a light structure,

a nice parasol wing , 3 axis control

    l/d of 28 ...
it is difficult to complete under the 254 empty weight for a part 103 compliant
here is the power plant i want on it,
low vibration and a sweet engine note

    Wankelflugmotor XF40

PS: i looked at your goatbuster mockup :

i say : forget the empennage , weight penalty for the tail boom and control structure will surely put you over the part 103 weight limit ,, think wing .. the wing is the thing
    like :
    mitchell B-10 [this is what i have plans for , true part 103 , fair L/D 16 wood and fabric wing , 1 1/2 6061 t6 crash cage ]
    or
the swift:, a follow on desigened by some kids at stanford cira 1991 l/D 20

    or the Millennium
    ..
the way i am understanding is don mitichell built the B-10. the guys at stanford saw it and went team design on the swift, swift is cool , has flaps and a twist, it is said the Millennium is a follow on the swift and is better

even with kevlar and carbon fiber layups on the cockpit and wing it is a tough thing to come in under 254 lb. ,espically with a full pod . ..
i think kevlar and carbon fiber layups are beyond the KSA [knowledge skills and ability] of homebuilder.
however ,, a set of nice carbonfiber/kevlar ribs and a spar +might be within the capability of homebuilder to bond together.
then just cover it with fabric..
i sure would like a full set off ribs for a high lift low drag wing.. spidersilk and diamond construction
oops spidersilk and diamond is 22 century technology
sorry to rave at ya bro.
