Mogas for Prewar Chiefs

An interesting discussion on the availability of 337's or extension of the existing STC's for postwar Aeronca Chiefs to their predecessors arose on another forum in the last few days. I participated to the extent that I haven't pursued mogas usage even for my Chief (11AC) even though there are existing STC's because of the limited availability of public airports with Mogas. There are certainly not many in the Northrtn PA/Southern NY area where I am located. You never know, though, sometimes valuable input pops up ! One of the other respondees to that thread came up with a link to a map of airports across the US where Mogas is available! It doesn't change the situation where I primarily fly but certainly does across the Midwest where a Mogas user could get some pretty useful planning info for potential XC fuel stops.
