The car needed a new battery, it was 5 1/2 years old. I thought of saving a few bucks doing it myself, or going to one of the small and dirty places, but in the end I went to Firestone, where I bought the first battery.
I was talking to the lady at the counter when the young man saw my shirt and asked me if I went to Oshkosh. Turns out Reid is a pilot, has been to Airventure and is a member of Chapter 52? in Superior, Wisconsin.
The service staff was backed up so Reid took the car and changed the battery himself in under 20 minutes.

Good to see a friendly face. We would have talked longer about flying if pests, ( customers) had not kept the phone ringing.
