    Taylorcraft Parts

I have a BC-12D that I purchased a bit more than a year ago. Right now it looks like I may need to replace the lower cowl before too long. Also, in the future, I may look at replacing the side windows. That's the major items right now.

What are some good sources for non-used parts?
Someday I'll come up with something profound to put here.

Does Univair carry parts for Taylorcrafts? Is there a Taylorcraft web site and can you make new side windows for your plane?

I did look at Univair's website. The parts they carry are pretty limited (read that as, "they don't have what I'm looking for")

Thanks anyway. I'll eventually get around to doing a more exhaustive search on the internet. I was just hoping someone had a quick answer here.

Wag aero carries windows. They are the sliders. If you don't have the sliders you should put them in. Wag has most of the larger parts now including spars and tail. Cowl will be more difficult. Post on the taylorcraft forum. That will be your best bet, but if your plane is like mine I tried 3 different cowls and came up,with three different fits. You may also call Forrest barber. His info is on the taylorcraft forum. Utilize the search function there. There was a metal worker on the forum who was making instrument panels, fairings etc... If you can contact him he maybe able to make a lower cowl.
