I was looking at the schedule for this year's event, and I noticed that there are place-holders for concerts every night. Kenny Loggins and Big Voodoo Daddy are listed on the Monday/Friday entries, but the others are TBD. Is this a new thing? I remember there being a Monday night concert and usually a smaller concert later in the week (Da Blooze Bros, Lt Dan Band, etc), but I didn't remember there being one every night.
This year, the big stage is going to stay up the entire week. I think it's going to be in a different area, but still right on the edge of Phillips Plaza. They mentioned a few months ago that this will allow them to have a stage in place all week for big announcements, etc., so they might as well get the use out of it. Hadn't heard about other concerts, but not surprised. Use it or lose it, right?
