Mike, I really enjoyed going through all the tools..It's been too many years since I went through A&P school. I live in the bush and haven't seen or worked with sheet metal tools since school. I'm building a Super Stol, and although it is a rag wing aircraft I need to bend odd pieces of mostly sheet aluminum. I can't really use the door frames and doors that come with the kit because I have to make ones that will seal up better in our cold Canadian wx. So, I need to make a simple brake from scratch. Any ideas you could help out with might save me some time and make it work better. I'm trying to remember how we used the big break at school to set different bend radius, for larger or smaller radius bends. Thanks, Rodger
Here's my list of tools (a work in progress).

Does using the front wheel on a bicycle for a tube bending jig qualify as a new, modified, or invented tool?
The tube is marked with a sharpie and isn't nearly as creased as the photo makes out.

Hi Rodger...
Making a Radius bend can be done with a wide bottom "V" die...
But usually homemade Brakes work a little different...
Seems like the clamp down type could have the Swinging/Bender further away from where it's clamped...
Or clamp a radius pipe... and swing the bender up to that ?
Hard to tell without seeing exactly what's needed...
Most of the invented tools were made from necessity ...

PS There are a lot of Brake ideas online...
