This summer marks the 25th anniversary of the United 232 crash in Sioux City. Will there be any forums on this? Any possibility of Al Haynes speaking?

Great question, and anyone know his current status, or that of his daughter? I remember years ago she was ill and members of the aviation community were pitching in for her treatment costs.

I am amazed that is has been 25 years since then. We, Warner Giles and I were on our way to Oskosh and stopped in Sioux City. It was shortly after the crash and there were flowers that people had put near the fence in in the fence that looked out on the site.
It is too bad they could not have made the longer runway, but they did the best they could and saved a lot of people.
My friend is a United pilot and after the accident they tried to control the plane in the simulator, and almost no one could at first, but they did get the hang of it to some extent.
