Good will type stores generally have a large selection of chargers at very reasonable prices. Sort through to find the right voltage and adapter. If necessary wire in a new adapter. Want 12 to 14 volt DC. 14 volt for fast charger. If necessary I could look up voltage and MA rating on my radio.

If it is a NiCad battery and over 1 year old or a NiMH and over 3 years old it is time for a new battery pack. These packs are known for cells that are not matched and one cell will bring down the pack leaving you with a fraction of the pack rating. Using a cycle/charger will help extend the battery life and identify the bad cell but the cost of replacement with a new pack is fairly low. If there is a Lithium battery pack available in the same battery case (might take some research) then make the shift - it will need a different charger but well worth the effort. Reliability taks a huge leap forward.
Icom uses many of the same batteries for a huge selection of radios - most unrelated to aviation.

I have a alkaline cell pack for several of my portable radios - especially ones I rarely use. I replace batteries once a year rotating the cells to flashlights and other less critical items. I always have fully functioning radios ready to go and an easy swap of cells if I need more operation time. Rechargeables left on the charger are always a guess.

Yes, note that the Icom A20 shares accessories (batteries, chargers, etc...) with their line of both commercial and amateur radios. I believe that's the same pack as the HAM 2AT radio and I forget the designation on the commercial radio (I had one for a while). There are some on EBAY for sure (though they appear to be non-icom units). The wording by the way is "rapid charger" in the industry which may help your search a bit.
