My picture made it to the finals in Sporty's Pilot Shop's Facebook Contest on "Why I Fly". The winner, chosen by the picture with the most likes, wins a new GoPro Camera that would be awesome to have once we are finished restoring our PA-11 project!

A little background on the picture: It was taken on my first adventure into the backcountry with my in-laws. We set up camp at Johnson Creek, ID (3U2) with over 100 other fellow airplanes during the Yellow Pine Harmonica Festival. Since then, I've been yearning for more backcountry flying, and I hope that once the PA-11 is done, that she's ready to get her feet dirty.
