    Question - trash or treasure?

I have acquired a box with a wing kit for what I think is an Acro Sport, from a school cleaning out their former aero building. The box contains wood parts for spars and ribs, four leading edge skins (.020 2024-T3 ALCLAD), and a few other aluminum trim parts. All parts are dusty, and the kit is (very) incomplete.

My question for the forum - treasure or trash?

    Inventory:

    Wood:
    • 1" x 3.25"/3" (the top is angled), 8'6" lg, 1 pc
    • 7/8" x 2.75"/2.5", 8'6" lg, 1 pc
    • 3/4" x 2.75"/2.63", 8'6" lg, 1 pc
    • 5/8" x 1/4", 3'2" lg, 67 pc
    • 1/4" sq, 3'2" lg, 48 pc
    • other sizes - 11 pc

    Aluminum:
    • Formed leading edge skins, .020 2024-T3 ALCLAD, 14" approx flat, 7'5" lg, 2 pc
    • As above, 8'1" lg, 2 pc
    • Narrow U-channel, .020 2024-T3 ALCLAD, 3" approx flat, 1.5" as formed, 56" lg, 3 pc.
    • V channel, .020 2024-T3 ALCLAD, 2" approx flat, 1" as formed, 43" lg, 4 pc.
    • Channel (italic [ form), .025, no mill marks, 1.25"x3.75", 44 lg, 4 pc.

Definitely not trash. What you got there is "stock". I find having stuff like that around is very helpful when somebody needs a piece for a project.

Thanks for your input. I called the (not-quite) local EAA chapter - the material found a good home with someone building a wood plane.
