    On site RV

2013 was our first Oshkosh and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a RV and camped at Scholler. There were some large trailers that we were told, had been delivered onsite and set up so that people just arrived and moved in for the week. Could someone please let me know the name of the caravan places that do this? We are coming again in 2014 and would like to get one of these.

Right now, there are not a lot of RV's listed on the site. But as spring arrives and they get a better idea what units will become available, the site fills up with numerous RV rentals, some quite nice. I don't know this for a fact, but I'm guessing that these are privately owned RV's, that are leased back to Event RV, for rental during AirVenture. That would explain why they aren't listed right now, but start becoming listed either in early spring, or first part of the new year.

There was a local RV company setting them up and renting them out. I know because in the capacity of my volunteer job in the campground, I fielded numerous complaints about them. I can't remember their name right now but hopefully an EAA staff member reading this will take note. Of particular mention was the poor young woman with small children who showed up after driving from the east coast to find her rental unit flooded, and no one, including EAA could locate a responsible party. It was very sad. EAA needs to take a close look at whoever they contract with in the future, IMHO of course.

I used these guys in 2012. Great service and the trailer was brand new. Very easy and accommodating.
