    Pilot OK After Water Landing

Here at Boulder there is a busy skydiving school that uses 2 Cessna 182s as the planes that take jumpers aloft. One of them lost power on short final to runway 8 when returning to land and went into the water. There is a small lake just off the approach end to that runway, and this happened this morning perhaps around 11 am.
The pilot was taken to the hospital, and later released with no significant injuries.
The lake is probably about 10 feet deep, and after the plane was stopped just the top of the tail and the tip of the right wing were above water.
The amazing thing is that the strobe on the right wing tip continued to flash, and was still going when I saw it about 2 pm.
There is nothing for sure yet about the cause.
