    A Friend Lost

I have just learned that Tex Edwards was killed in a car accident Monday night.
I don't have any other details, other than a service at their ranch at Big Spring in West Texas on Friday, I believe.

I have known Connie Edwards since I came into warbirds, and have watched Tex grow from a teenager into a young man.
They were the old time base of CAF and EAA, and I am having a hard time writing this. Like so many others he should have had more time to enjoy life, and us to enjoy it with him.

One quick little story that I didn't witness but heard about Tex, He once entered a flour bombing contest at some local fly in. His TBM carried a LOT of flour. He missed the target, but gave a good coating to the judges.

I'm so sorry to hear this... I heard rumors about a loss in their family yesterday, but hadn't heard anything since. I don't know them, but I've been an admirer of Connie's my whole life, thanks to his work on "The Battle of Britain" among other ventures. My heart goes out to him and his family, and I'm sorry for you to have lost a friend Bill.
