I try to volunteer every year for a few days. FAR from the all-week stint that some do - and my hat is off to those who do.

This was the first year, though, that I've had several folks come up to me while I was on duty just to say "Thanks for volunteering!"

Just wanted to say that I've never had that happen in past years and that I found it rewarding that so many realize that Convention couldn't happen without them.

I had one guy come up to me while I was eating a late lunch. I didn't have the shirt on - just the volunteer nameplate pinned to my hat. IOW, he sought me out of the crowd and took the time to thank me before he finished his own lunch.

I've always enjoyed my volunteer days. This just makes it all that much better.
