I finally got around to trying out our new scanner. I always said this would be the first photo scanned.
My Dad (a blimp pilot for the Navy) took this from the top of a blimp hanger (not sure what base or the year).
Let the warbird lovers begin to drool! Notice the Helldiver's way in the back.

Old pictures like this always make me take a moment of pause to really think about the magnitude of production back then. To think about how many we made, and how many are now around is just mind-boggling. Thank you for posting that picture Tom...I'm trying to imagine how that would have looked in person to see the sea of Navy blue sitting in front of you. Amazing.
