Round Engine Rodeo

Hi all,

whilst trying to find more information on what to expect for the Round Engine Rodeo (the VAA's 'Vintage AirMail AirVenture special e-newlsetter' this past Monday being exceedingly quiet on the subject), I have just googled the following forum post dated last Saturday:

It has come to The Cub Clubs attention from the organizer at Vintage Aircraft Association that the "Round Engine Rodeo" that has been advertised as occuring July 26, 27, 28 the weekend prior of EAA at the Hartford, WI airport is a no go."

That's rather a pity, as last night I just finalised my pre-AirVenture plans which included a full day at Hartford. I'll just cancel the hotel I booked, I suppose.

Although sometimes one wonders what all these new communication media are about. If the above post is correct, announcing the same news on the EAA or VAA website apparently took too much time. Likewise, on the 'aircraft attractions' subsection of www.airventure.org the Waco 9 that had been announced has disappeared as well, without so much as a word or an update of the original news item.
