This is the second year I have had to miss Airventure due to health reasons. I really enjoy the webcams thank you very much. However, what I would like to see next year is a Runway Cam on runway 36. Some of us like to watch airplanes land, I would log onto the tower frequency in one window and open another for the webcam. That would be cool, what are the possibilities?

Looks like the balloon launch was a no-go.
Wind Speed 3 mph was good, but was blowing east, which would have taken them over the lake, not good.

Sorry you have not been able to make it to the show and hope you will be able to in the future.

We try to balance the camera's on activity around the grounds and based on some of the requests. Usually on the beginning days of the show when most of the arrivals occur we do focus more time on the runways and the same applies as there is a lot of departures.

If you are asking about getting a camera closer to the runway just for that purpose, that is not possible due to many factors.

We have added more runways stops back in on the camera tours. Hope this helps.

FYI

Vintage webcam has been parked, in one spot for quite awhile.
Unless that is what you want it to be doing.
It does not view show center/Philip 66 plaza.

Lol. yea. CameramanTim was mad yesterday he had the shot setup on the area they usually blow up only to have them light off a section farther down. Today he tracked down the pyro guys got the skinny.

I have a wall of flame photo sequence I took, from several years ago.
I happened to be standing next to one of the pyro guys that set it up prior in the previous day.
He showed me exactly where to aim, too.
