    Sonex 1579 - First flight

Sonex 1579 (N1579C) flew for the first time on 4/8/2013. I started construction on 6/25/12. It was inspected
by the DAR on 4/1/13. Things go quick when you're an old retired guy working on it full time. Phase 1 flight testing
was completed on 6/15/13 ... I'm off the leash. Everything's working great.

    RogerT,

First, congratulations! Hate it that the job gets in the way but I do fly for a living, so it isn't "work" really! Second, I bet you followed the plans and didn't make a bunch of mods. I had a multiple offender (currently on his fourth airplane) tell me that is how you have an airplane and not a project!

    Roger,
Congratulations. Having recently flown my Cygnet for the first time, I understand. Be safe, have fun, and keep an open field under you all the time See you at Oshkosh.
