What is your chapter doing for the PLANES movie ?

I am working with a local movie theater to have a display in the lobby. Negotiating how much space and what message to send
What are you planning for the chapter from this movie?

I find it interesting that no one has responded.

Hi, Jim; When I first read your post, I thought, "Hmmmm... hadn't thought of that, but it sounds interesting..." And, of course, I haven't done anything about it, because I've been out of town, our Chapter leadership has missed a meeting or two, and in general, we're putting a lot of effort into our next YE event next weekend. Part of the "no response" response may be that folks are waiting to see what really happens in the movie (at which time, it will be too late to tie-in with a theater chain). I mean, we've all see the clip(s), but other than the "little plane that could" aspect, don't know about other character development. Is there any character based on an experimental? Does Dusty visit AirVenture? Is your tie-in going to be based on what EAA represents from the purist view, or the broader view of all things aviation? I think this is a good discussion topic; some ideas bounced around might garner some better ideas. Just curious - are you tying-in with a local theater or one of the mega-complex chains? Around here in DFW, aside from the art houses, every theater is a corporate entity. I have no idea if they'd be receptive to something disturbing their cookie cutter recipe. Maybe they would - I have no personal experience with it.
