    MAP ignition curve

I would like to discus with somebody about the adjustable MAP advance curve for the electronic ignition system. Mine is a double SDS electronic ignition system installed in a O-235-L2C (Rutan 61). I have a fix RPM advance curve that works very well (from 0 to 30 degrees at full RPM) but my doubts are in the MAP variation to adjust the correct curve with altitude. I have worked on some combinations from 8 degrees retard at sea level to a 12 degrees advance at 14000 feet, but I haven't actually tried it and I'm a little reluctant to use it until talk to somebody about it. Anybody?

Ross Farnham, "the SDS guy", hangs out over at the FlySoob group on Yahoo! forums. He'd be a great guy to ask the question to, and some of us over there with other engines might be able to learn a thing or two from your experience.

If someone here doesn't have an answer for you, give it a try.
